In January 2002, Shavlik Technologies was a successful IT consulting firm that also sold a small line of Computer Security Software products in the area of patch management and vulnerability management. Total sales were roughly $1.8 million.
Seeing an opportunity, Principal Mark Shavlik hired TechBranders to help promote a new security patch management solution called HFNetChkProô in mid July of 2002. After making a minor refinement of the Shavlik brand, TechBranders created online and print media plans, brand advertising, banner advertising, and a complete website makeover. With a complete arsenal of marketing tools in place, sales for HFNetChkProô were approaching $15 million by July of 2003.
Today, TechBranders continues to maintain the Shavlik brand, as well as develop lead generation programs, banner and print advertising, tradeshow promotions, collateral and more.

Ad campaigns - Created several print ad campaigns promoting signature product HFNetChkProô. These were designed to show the target audience, network administrators, that Shavlik designs products to ease their pain.
HTML emails - Shavlik has a large database of customers and prospects who register at their website that receive regular HTML emails promoting new products, discounted offerings, and more.
Direct mail - Used primarily in conjunction with an HTML email campaigns, print direct mail campaigns are created to primarily support other marketing initiatives.
Banner ads - As a primary source of lead generation, we create monthly banner ad campaigns both nationally and internationally on major sites such as eWeek, SCMag, TechTarget, and others.
Website - Developed original website in 2002 that immediately boosted sales by over 200% in three months.
