TechBranders is division of Zosel&Co., a Minneapolis, MN based marketing communications firm offering an extensive 18-year history of with technology marketing and technology branding projects including marketing consultants. Zosel&Co principal Scott Zosel and marketing consultants created the TechBranders website to provide a full-service marketing resource and marketing consultants for technology companies who need a high level strategic approach to marketing communications., and to provide a more focused vertical marketing vehicle for reaching technology companies. The site is fully optimized for search engines as an authentic, real-time demonstration of our capabilities in that area.

With an experienced management team, TechBranders brings nearly 50 years of business and marketing strategy to help our technology clients achieve strategic clarity and profitable business growth. We have several cut-to-the-chase tools and processes that help make this a reality.

Our agenda is your agenda.
Like any emerging technology company, growth is critical to your company, particularly if you’re considering an IPO or other initiatives. We are not ‘yes’ people, but marketing consultants technology business strategists and technology marketing specialists who focus on driving your business forward. Most companies have ad agencies, marketing consultants, and in-house marketing departments producing lots of busy work, but they do not have proven processes in place that make absolutely certain their positioning and message will resonate with their target markets.

A scientific approach to technology marketing. It’s not creativity, gut instinct, or flavor-of-the-month promotions. We provide a data-driven perspective on the drivers of your business and our methodologies accomplish one key outcome: profitable growth for your company. So how do you get there?

For starters, it’s not doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome. Optimum positioning, sales strategy, and marketing implementation are user-based, and are rarely formulated on what management thinks might work. Instead, it’s all about what your target audience tells us will work. Simply stated, we take the guesswork out of business and marketing strategy with strategic clarity, focused direction and tangible, measurable results.

Your company may be selling technology (hardware, software, services), but keep in mind that you’re selling to people, not machines. In other words, be careful not to get too enthusiastic about your great features in your technology marketing efforts. Your customers, not marketing consultants, may not be as excited about them as you think.

To illustrate the concept, let’s examine two different copy block describing the same products. It’s the same message, but two vastly different contexts:

Self-oriented – ‘Our services provide flexible options for optimizing existing SAN and application infrastructures, and for implementing new architectures in mission-critical environments.’
Customer-oriented – ‘Now you can manage SANs safely and easily, and save your department a bundle of time and money.’

Here are a few simple rules to remember when creating benefits according to marketing consultants.

1. Define benefits relative to customers' needs and wants. Avoid technical jargon.
2. People, and marketing consultants, care more about basic human needs like getting home on time, or looking ; not your features.
3. Be as specific as possible—be positive, specific and direct so they quickly understand.
